Medical Volunteers Home PageThe Medical Committee is composed of volunteers who provide emergency care to the spectators, PGA tour officials, PGA TOUR Professionals and their families, volunteers and others associated with the tournament during tournament week. John Deere Classic’s Medical Services is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a non-transport ALS provider and operates under protocols approved by Trinity’s EMS system. We have an air conditioned trailer we use as a main medical unit located near the clubhouse and three floored tents located in various areas on the course. We use John Deere Gators with a med bed to transport patients to the main medical unit to tier with an ambulance service should need be. If you love golf and hold an Illinois Medical License this is the committee for you! Requirements: EMT-P, EMT-I, EMT-B, FR Volunteers must have a current Illinois Pre-Hospital License and be in good standing within their EMS system. RN's Volunteers must have a current Illinois or Iowa RN License and a current BLS or ACLS card. LPN’s Volunteers must have a current Illinois License and BLS card.
