JDC Evacuation Plan


Observe the leaderbaords throughout the golf course for Weather Warning signs that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. If the siren sounds, seek shelter immediately.

AVOID THE FOLLOWING:
  • Open areas
  • Hilltops / high places
  • Isolated trees
  • Golf carts
  • Wire fences

20 EVAC vans staged around the course per EVAC MAP & ASSIGNMENTS Document. Van location identifier signs are placed on dash of each Van.
Note: Wednesday Pro-Am only - 6 additional cars from Transportation staged:
4th Tee area - 2 more
Stone House - 2 more
5 Fairway - 2 more
  1. Keys held in Marshals' tent - lead Marshals pick up keys from Marshal tent each morning and place in van and return keys to Marshall tent at end of day.

  2. Every morning Harvey Green, Roger Wallace and Ken Stotmeister check weather conditions with PGA TOUR weather/field staff for weather risk factor.

  3. Risk level is communicated as follows:
    1. Harvey and Roger to their respective lead marshals.
    2. Harvey: Scoring, Standards
    3. Roger: Transportation, Carts.

  4. Medium to high risk:
    1. Lead marshals will assign vans to hole captains (drivers)
    2. Transportation will hold drivers for possible EVAC

  5. If EVAC is imminent (tour call)
    1. Lead Marshals notify drivers to stand ready
    2. Roger Wallace (Harvey Green in his absence) will notify Transportation & Carts.
    3. All drivers on standby, Transportation & Carts to assigned areas per EVAC MAP

  6. Horn blows cars roll: Scorers carry EVAC MAP & ASSIGNMENTS sheet(attached) that identify van locations and EVAC directions

    1. Committee Chair Locations - Oversee EVAC
      1. Harvey- Point (10 tee- 9 green)
      2. Roger - Parking Lot
      3. Ken -Staging

    2. Players/caddies to clubhouse

    3. Players family to clubhouse (via subsequent round if necessary)

    4. Volunteers to designated sites (via subsequent rounds)

    5. Lead Marshals will sweep their area to make sure everyone is EVAC'd

    6. Marshals meet at Volunteer tent awaiting restart

    7. Ken oversees staging of vans at driving range awaiting restart - vans will have location identifier signs on dash

    8. Front 9 West side of Range - Back 9 East side of Range

  7. Restart

    1. Harvey informs: Scoring, Standard Bearers

    2. Roger informs: Transportation, Carts

    3. Volunteer disbursement
      1. Scoring: Scoring committee responsible for getting scorers to their locations ASAP
      2. Standard Bearers: Ride with players or in subsequent round
      3. Marshals: Ride in subsequent round and/or carts from cart barn as available

    4. Vans return to on course locations at Harvey's direction (Roger in Harvey's absence)

  8. Other Notes:
    1. Harvey Green will provide Transportation with instructions for their participation in the event they are called upon to fill in for any gaps in the Marshal assignments for transporting / driving EVAC vehicles in time of need. -work off Harvey's master.
